This guide is all you need for a night tour in Wuhan—don’t miss a thing

Wuhan is truly worth visiting again ❤️ The city at night is even more dazzling than during the day‼️ Recently, I’ve seen many travelers coming to Wuhan. As a local deep-experience player, I’m sharing a special night tour guide hoping it helps. You can also check out my past posts on the homepage for a full guide. - 1⃣ Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street. 👉 A super long commercial pedestrian street with endless snack night markets. Within the district, the store signs at Xunlimen, the night market on Baocheng Road (best photo spot is on the platform of Line 1 heading to Hankou North, ticket required), and the rooftop on the 5th floor of X118 are my favorite night photography spots. 2⃣ Yangtze River Bridge. 👉 An excellent free viewing platform and the prime spot for the light show. Watching the lights on both sides of the two rivers and four banks light up the Yangtze River shoreline is truly breathtaking. Near the Wuchang end of the bridge, there’s Zhonghua Road Balcony, Liangdao Street Hubu Alley, and a 1.3 yuan ferry (10 yuan after 8 PM) for sightseeing—all great places for night views and food. 3⃣ Hankou Riverside Park. 👉 At the end of Jianghan Road, perfect for a post-dinner stroll. You can see Wuhan’s tallest building from afar (photo taken six months ago; not sure why the lights haven’t been on since, but the light show still flashes). Inside the park, there’s the Ferry Museum and a riverside café. 4⃣ Old Buildings along Yanjiang Avenue. 👉 Century-old buildings like Jianghan Customs House, the Japanese Qing Bank Building, and the HSBC Building. When the lights come on, it’s said to instantly transform into the Shanghai Bund vibe. 5⃣ “Night at Yellow Crane Tower” Light Show. 👉 The night at Yellow Crane Tower is a completely different experience from the day! At night, there’s a storyline performance, a light show, and you can climb the tower to see the night view! Tickets are slightly more expensive than daytime, and daytime tickets are not valid at night. 6⃣ Chu River Han Street. 👉 A modern commercial street with beautiful Republic of China-style architecture, mainly featuring trendy brands and dining. There are authentic Hubei dishes as well as national chain stores. It’s a great place to rest after visiting East Lake and the Provincial Museum, just two metro stops from the museum (get off at Shuiguohu). 7⃣ Tanhualin. 👉 I like the newly opened hillside area; the lights at night give it a small mountain town feel. The district has many old buildings and celebrity residences to see. Most will become exhibition halls in the future, but many are not yet open. On the hillside, try the specialty dessert “Tiao Liao You Tiao” and some pubs and barbecue spots. 8⃣ Wuhan Tiandi. 👉 A commercial street renovated from an old neighborhood, very similar to Shanghai Xintiandi. The mall and street scale are very comfortable. The mall focuses on retail, the street on dining, with trendy brand retail as well. The atmosphere is cozy and boutique-style, with lots of food and trendy drinks. It’s also close to the reed area of Hankou Riverside Park. 9⃣ Optics Valley Pedestrian Street. 👉 The best night photo spot is the Domino Cathedral! The building’s lighting is stunning, and it has the only Huawei store inside a church. There’s also a projection countdown for New Year’s Eve! The pedestrian street combines styles from various countries and is the most popular street among university students, with affordable prices. - 🙏 In short, Wuhan is worth your return visit. See you again in cherry blossom season! - Wuhan Travel | Wuhan Night Tour | Wuhan Photography | Photography
