Hotel hidden perks 1️⃣ I highly recommend booking a visit to the "Chairman Mao's Former Residence Exhibition Hall." You can ask the front desk directly, as there are limited slots available each day. You can confirm it when you check in. There are guides on site, and photography is not allowed. There are many unpublished photos. The tour lasts about 40 minutes. 2️⃣ There are hidden garden tours! There may be only one or two tours a day, with a guide and a shuttle bus to take you around the East Lake Hotel for about half an hour. This time, I was introduced by Master Yang, who was very detailed and lively. After the tour, I learned that the East Lake Hotel is still directly under the provincial government, so the staff are basically civil servants. Don't underestimate any hotel staff, as they may be civil servants, and many of them have worked in Zhongnanhai for a while before coming here, such as the guide at the former residence. So, the overall quality is really great. Environment Very healing and suitable for relaxation. There are also great places to watch the sunset and sunrise, as the East Lake is very large. There is a cherry blossom avenue here, with early cherry blossoms blooming in early April. It should be very beautiful then. The rooms and services are all very good. The breakfast at Tingtao also includes freshly made bean curd, which is very nice. Overall, it is very suitable for relaxation, as the hotel is located within the East Lake Scenic Area.
