Twin Pagodas of Jiangxin Island

My first visit to Wenzhou was in August. Although the weather was a bit hot, I couldn't wait to check in at Jiangxin Island, known as the "Penglai of Oujiang River". The first stop on the island is the former British Consulate in Wenzhou, a three-story brick and wood building with a European style. Through the introduction of pictures and texts in the museum, I learned that Britain had coveted Wenzhou as early as 1787, and finally opened Wenzhou as a commercial port by signing the Sino-British Yantai Treaty more than 90 years later. Jiangxin Island is beautiful, no wonder celebrities and poets of all ages have left their marks and praised its beauty, especially Xie Lingyun's "The sun shines brightly, the sky and water are clear" is widely circulated.
