The exhibition design is interactive and layered, starting with the New Zealand Nature Zone, continuing through the Maori Culture Zone, the History Gallery, and the Battle of Gallipoli exhibit. It's like traveling through time and space in Aotearoa. I particularly loved the 2.4x life-size war statues; the detail and emotional expression captured were so realistic that they kept me occupied. The giant squid exhibit in the Nature Zone also evoked awe at the wonders of nature. Each exhibit is insightful yet non-preachy, perfect for quiet enjoyment and family-friendly fun. Before leaving, I recommend stopping by the rooftop cafe. The harbor view paired with a flat white is truly picturesque. For me, Te Papa is more than just a tourist attraction; it's a place for quiet conversation and a renewed understanding of the relationship between land and people. #July2025
