Jinsha River Water Curtain Cave G215 National Highway Bodhidharma Cave Lijiang

Today’s itinerary is very simple, we will only go to Lijiang, which means we will take a road that no one else takes! After leaving the city of Shangri-La, take G214 and then connect to G215 Xiangwei Line (Shangri-La--Weixi County), and then connect to Jinjiang Line--Shangwu Section--S226--G353 to Lijiang. Along the way, you will drive along another tributary of the Jinsha River. The scenery is equally charming, but the road conditions of Provincial Highway 226 are a bit poor, and you have to cross the bridge from time to time and cut back and forth on the Jinsha River. On the way, we passed a small attraction: Water Curtain Cave, and then went to Bodhidharma Cave (Laiyuan Temple). This temple is the most sacred temple I have seen in the past few days. There is no tourist atmosphere or smell of money. However, to get to this temple, you have to drive through 11 kilometers of winding mountain roads + walk about 1km. To see the ancestor, you have to climb stairs. The whole temple is built on a cliff. It is really hard to imagine how it was built?
