Nanjing's Little Mogao Grottoes, more Buddhas than people

Few people know that Nanjing also has a Dharma Ancient Cave. It is also one of the Forty-eight Scenic Spots of Jinling. Actually, there are two places in China named "Dharma Cave". One is located in Songshan, Henan Province. The other is in Nanjing. Legend has it that over 1600 years ago, Patriarch Bodhidharma debated Buddhist matters with Emperor Wu of Liang. Due to differing perspectives, the two did not see eye to eye and Bodhidharma left Nanjing, crossing the river northward. Passing through Mufu Mountain, he saw a cave and entered it to rest for a while, hence it was later called Dharma Ancient Cave. More than a decade ago, I visited this place while hiking in Mufu Mountain; back then, it was just a cave. In 2016, the mine was restored and developed, with three levels, upper, middle, and lower, housing 101 Dharma statues with different expressions, becoming an obscure spot known as the 'Little Mogao Grottoes'. This line actually has good playability, with the climbing of Jialu Peak, One-Line-Sky, Dharma Ancient Cave, plus the light show, it is still worth the ticket price. On weekends, you can take the subway to Shangyuanmen, follow the route of Straw Shoe Gorge Monument, Wuma Crossing, Dharma Ancient Cave, Shishi Crossing, Santai Cave, Toutai Cave, Yanziji, Guanyin Gate, to Yanziji Subway Station, 8 kilometers, suitable for cycling, walking, and viewing the river scenery. Next to the Dharma Cave, there is also a hidden photo check-in spot, which I updated for everyone yesterday.
