Vladivostok's century-old lighthouse! The filming location of 'SoulMate'

Tokarevsky Lighthouse is located at the end of the peninsula extending from the Vladivostok city area, serving as the gateway and essential passage for the Vladivostok port, and is the first guiding light for ships heading out to sea. This lighthouse was established in 1876 and is a century-old beacon. Due to its unique geographical position and historical significance, it has become a popular check-in spot in Vladivostok. The movie 'SoulMate' was also filmed here. The lighthouse is quite far from the city center, and public transportation is not very convenient. Taking a taxi back from the city center costs about 300 rubles, which is roughly more than 20 yuan. The lighthouse is painted in red and white stripes, standing at the end of the peninsula that borders the land. A gravel path winds its way to the lighthouse, becoming more and more slender until it reaches the middle of the sea. Next to the lighthouse, there is a beach with small stones instead of sand. You can stroll here, feel the sea breeze, and enjoy the seascape. There are also some cafes and Western restaurants near the lighthouse, all with nice environments and reasonable prices. tips: Watching the sunset at the lighthouse is quite nice, but it's hard to hail a taxi if it gets too late. If you want to watch the sunset, make sure to keep an eye on the time~

Vladivostok is a city in the Russian Far East. It gets really cold in winter so I recommend to plan your trip to Vladivostok from May till September. ✈️ Getting There - Vladivostok is located near Japan, China and Korea so pretty much the only way to get there is by plane. Vladivostok has an airport express train that will take you straight to Vladivostok’s city center, another perk is that the train passes by great sceneries. 🎠 Attractions - My favorite place to visit in Vladivostok is the aquarium on the Russian island, it has a lot of interesting fish and animals in there and the area outside the aquarium is just wonderful, it is right by the seaside. Another great place to visit is the Tokarevski Lighthouse. When the tide is low, the shallow path appears which you can use to walk to the lighthouse. You can walk along the seaside and the riverside, rent a longboard or a bicycle 🚲 at Naberezhnaya Tsesarevicha. You can visit Vladivostok’s surf camp and learn surfing or just rent a standup paddle. You can visit Russian theater and absorb local culture. 🥞 Food & Restaurants - Russian food is amazing, there are a lot of great restaurants with good service. Don’t forget it is in the culture to tip the waiter 15-20% in Russia. Start with having Russian pancakes for breakfast, they are called Blini, they are often served with condensed milk or they are stuffed with cottage cheese, potatoes, meat, cabbage. The next dish to try is Sirniki, it’s some sort of pancakes made of cottage cheese often served with sour cream. There are a lot of dinner dishes in Russia, it would take me dozens of pages to name them all, just prepare your stomach to eat a lot in Russia because it’s just so good 😍😍😍 Enjoy your trip to Russia and don’t freeze if you decide to go in Winter ❄️ #russia #vladivostok #travel #vacation #citytour #travelling #holidays #food #city #citycenter #island #passionpassport
