Wat Sisaket

Wat Sisaket (Wat Sisaket) is one of the oldest and most historically significant temples in Vientiane, Laos. It was built in 1818 during the reign of King Chao Anouvong. Wat Sisaket is the only temple that survived the destruction during the war with Siam, preserving its original architecture and structure perfectly. When you enter the temple, you will find more than 10,000 Buddha statues displayed around the vihara and walls in various forms, from small to large statues, beautifully and astonishingly arranged in the wall niches. Additionally, there are ancient murals depicting Buddhist stories that have remained despite the passage of hundreds of years.
