Following the crowd, I accidentally stumbled upon the century-old pastry shop Pasticceria Barini.

That day, I was just wandering around the city center of Verona and saw this traditional pastry shop, Pasticceria Barini, filled with people. So, I decided to follow the crowd and went in! This long-established pastry shop, which opened in 1971, offers a variety of classic desserts, such as the romantically named pastries - Juliet and Romeo's Kiss (Baci di Giulietta e Romeo), traditional cookies Zaletti, rice-based creamy dessert Risini, and Russian cake. These are all specialty pastries of Verona. Listening to the enthusiastic recommendations of the owner and local customers, I decided to try three different kinds... and the result was, I couldn't quite understand any of them, haha 😂. Maybe the flavors were just too different from what I'm used to, but with the shop's popularity, retro cute decor, and rich historical atmosphere, I still think it's worth a visit! After all, so many locals love it, there must be something special about it!
