That day, we drove through rolling hills, each passing moment a scene reminiscent of a painting: winding cypress avenues, golden wheat fields, and stone farmhouses dotted here and there. It felt like stepping into a dream. 🚗 First Stop: Farmhouse Poggio Covili This is a classic Tuscan landmark, a straight road framed by towering cypresses on either side. Any photo is a postcard-worthy moment. The tranquil atmosphere invites you to slow down and savor the purity of nature. 🚗 Second Stop: Cypresses of San Quirico d'Orcia The unique rounded cypresses clustered on the hills resemble a piece of earth art. Although our stay was brief, standing before this magnificent valley, I felt a sense of being embraced by nature. 🚗 Stop 3: Pienza Entering this Renaissance town, the ancient stone buildings and romantic alleyways will captivate you. Though small, every corner holds a surprise, especially the picturesque promenade overlooking the valley. The Pecorino sheep's milk cheese here is a local specialty, and tasting it while strolling will deepen your experience. 🚗 Stop 4: Agriturismo Baccoleno This is a photographer's paradise. The winding S-shaped road stretches through the fields, revealing a myriad of different layers as the sunlight changes. Especially at dusk, the scenery is bathed in a golden glow, a breathtaking sight. 🚗 Stop 5: San Gimignano Referred to as the "Manhattan of the Middle Ages," this small mountain town is renowned for its numerous towering towers. Entering the city walls, it felt like stepping back into the Middle Ages. The square was bustling with activity, and the ice cream shops on the street were so popular that lines formed. From the top, the sunset cast a shadow over the stone towers and red-brick rooftops, a moment of awe beyond words. 🍴 Dinner: Le Vecchie Mura Dining at this restaurant was the perfect end to the day. Sitting on the terrace, with the endless Tuscan hills before us, enjoying authentic steak and red wine while admiring the city at night, time seemed to stand still.
