Little known place in Indonesia

#newyearnewtrip This quaint city in Indonesia is Medan which is famous for this serene lake. The lake was formed thousands of years ago due to a volcanic eruption and remains one of the most peaceful places to escape the bustling city life and breathe the fresh air. Around the lake there are also other tourist sites like the statue of Jesus Christ which is even bigger than the famous Christ the redeemer statue in Rio. There are many natural waterfalls to visit as well. Additionally, since the places to visit are at a higher altitude, it has extremely nice cooling weather which was definitely a good break from the sweltering heat back home. Medan is definitely a place to take a break from life and have a good rest amongst nature.
