Nina Tower | Bamboo Thai

The first time I drove to Nina Plaza, the mall was very new and some shops had not yet been occupied. After walking around for a while, we decided to go into this Thai restaurant for dinner. The restaurant is newly renovated in a wooden Thai style with comfortable seating and multiple booths. The booth we sat in was overlooking the restaurant bar. If a customer ordered a smoothie drink, the bar would be noisy because the ice had to be crushed. For the starter, we ordered eight pieces of raw shrimp sashimi (HK$148), which were served on crushed ice and served with Thai chili sauce. It was a great appetizer. For salad, we ordered Thai Tiger Prawn Betel Nut Vegetable Wrap (HK$88). This salad is not very common and is quite special. The shelled tiger prawns and other ingredients are placed on the betel nut dish. Every bite has just the right flavor and a rich texture. For the main course, we ordered a small portion of volcano pork ribs (HK$118). The portion was quite large, enough for two people. Fortunately, we didn’t order a large portion, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to finish the other dishes! The store clerk gave us rubber gloves to make eating easier. Gently tear the pork ribs apart and dip them in the green sauce. The green sauce here is not too spicy, but rather sour, which is really appetizing. But maybe it was because we arrived at the restaurant early (the first dinner diners of the day), the pork ribs would have been more tender if they were cooked a little longer! For noodles, of course I ordered my favorite Thai style fried prawns with golden noodles. I will order this in almost every Thai restaurant! Just like authentic fried Phnom Penh noodles, it is served with raw sprouts, chili powder and peanuts on the side, which can be added to the Phnom Penh noodles according to personal preference. For drinks, we ordered Basil Lime Soda (Cold) and Lemongrass Ginger Tea (Hot). The basil lime soda is more fragrant than the usual lime soda, and I chose the lemongrass ginger tea which is slightly sweet and full of ginger flavor. 📍Bamboo Thai Shop 105-107, 1/F, Nina Tower 1, 8 Yeung Uk Road, Tsuen Wan #eatwithgina #Thai food #localtourism #foodie
