Aichi's popular autumn foliage spots

📍Korankei Korankei, a valley created by the Tomoe River, a tributary of the Yahagi River, is famous for its autumn leaves and dogtooth violets. It is said to have begun when the 11th abbot of Kosekiji Temple, San'ei Osho, planted them in the 11th year of the Kanei era during the Edo period, and now it is one of the most famous autumn foliage spots in the country, with about 3,000 maples showing off their colors. You can also stroll through the old townscape reminiscent of the former post town on either side of the Asuke River. In autumn, about 4,000 trees turn red and yellow, beautifully coloring the surface of the Tomoe River. The Korankei Maple Festival is held from November 1st to 30th, and various events are held. The area is lit up from sunset to 9 p.m., allowing you to see a fantastic view of the autumn leaves that is different from the daytime. #0yentravelFebruary2025
