Spanish Central Plateau Adventure ~ Toledo (Region) The main monument here is the 16th-century Collegiate Church of Santa Sacramento, with its magnificent facade and stunning high altarpiece. Another interesting building is the Franciscan Monastery, declared a monument in 1981. Built on the site of the 14th-century palace of King Pedro I of Castile, it consists of a double-aisled structure surrounded by a palace and church.
