Tongling West Lake Wetland Park - Location: Located in Tongguan District, Tongling City, Anhui Province, it is surrounded by Cuihu Sixth Road to the north, Yanxin Avenue and Xihu East Road to the west, Donghu First Road to the south, and Xincheng Avenue to the east. - Area: The planned total area is 4.75 square kilometers, including a water area of about 1.61 square kilometers, a wetland scenic area of 1.81 square kilometers, and a land scenic area of 1.33 square kilometers. - Scenic Area Status: It is the largest wetland ecosystem in Tongling City and a national AAAA-level scenic area and national urban wetland park. Natural Ecology: - Plant Resources: Confirmed wild aquatic plants are mainly reeds, cattails, wild rice stems, and lotus roots, as well as a large number of cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, and other ornamental flowers, forming the city's largest spring flower viewing area and other characteristic landscapes. - Animal Resources: It is the most complete wading bird ecosystem in Tongling City, with more than 70 species of birds inhabiting it all year round, with egrets and river gulls as characteristic species. In addition, there are rare birds such as oriental storks and Baer's pochards, as well as 240 species of wild animals. Functional Areas: - Wetland Experience Area: Covering an area of 110 hectares, visitors can experience the unique ecological environment of wetlands up close and enjoy the wetland scenery. - Ecological Restoration Area: Covering an area of 80.56 hectares, it showcases water islands, peninsula swamps, lotus and wild rice ponds, and is an important part of the bird ecology. - Health Peninsula Scenic Area: Covering an area of 49.9 hectares, it provides visitors with leisure, fitness, and other activity spaces. - Lake Spring Scenic Area: Covering an area of 34.26 hectares, it focuses on the creation of spring flower landscapes, mainly with cherry blossoms of various colors.
