Yaowang Mountain – The Sacred Mountain of Chinese Medicine ⛰️🙏 We explored Yaowang Mountain, famous for its connection to Sun Simiao, the legendary “King of Chinese Medicine.” The temple complex here is stunning, built into the cliffs with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Walking through the ancient halls and learning about traditional Chinese medicine made for a fascinating cultural experience. This small town has been famous for its ceramic production for over a thousand years, and we loved watching artisans craft beautiful porcelain pieces by hand. Strolling through the old streets lined with pottery workshops and tea houses was a highlight of our trip.
