1 Michelin Star Ramen at Ginza Hachigou

Ginza Hachigou is a cozy little ramen bar along one of the smaller alleys of Ginza, but it’s hard to miss with those snaking queues! With only 6 seats along the counter, be prepared to queue and wait for a taste of this 1 Michelin Star ramen 🍜 They officially open at 11am, but the queue starts before that. When you join the line, the staff will invite you to head inside and place your order at the vending machine before returning to the queue. Ramens here are surprisingly affordable, starting at JPY1100 (S$11) and you can get the special version with all the ingredients at only JPY1400 (S$14). The wait was well worth it as this is one of the most unique ramens I’ve tasted. The clear and golden broth packs quite the flavour with some French influence. Some might find it a tad salty, but it was too delicious to not polish up. The noodles were of a hard firmness, while the fatty pork chashu slices were smoky and tender 🔥 Tip: You can check their Twitter page before going down to queue because they update it daily whenever they are sold out.
