teamLab Toyosu (Digital Art Museum)

Hello everyone, it's Nhan in Japan again! Today, my family and I went to experience teamLab. The first room we entered was the Flower Garden with over 13,000 real orchids! This is a garden where the flowers "rise" when someone approaches and "lower" when they leave. Mirrors surround the area, creating the feeling of wandering into an endless garden. You can walk through the flowers, feeling as if you're blending into nature. My kids absolutely loved it! The second room was the Forest, divided into two smaller sections: the Athletic Forest and the Catching and Collecting Forest. Unfortunately, we missed the Athletic Forest because we took a wrong turn—such a pity! The Catching and Collecting Forest was very interesting. Visitors stroll through the forest and use an app or a pre-provided phone to "shoot arrows" at animated animals appearing in the space. When you hit an animal, it disappears from the space and gets saved on your phone as part of a personal animal encyclopedia. However, my little one couldn't participate in catching animals via the app. The next room was the Water Room. Here, everyone has to go barefoot. As soon as you enter, you should take off your shoes and socks, find an easy-to-remember locker to store your belongings, and only bring your phone. The pathway is very dark, reminding me of haunted houses at amusement parks, but it's not scary. You'll encounter a light waterfall cascading from above, creating a dreamy and magical feeling as you walk against the flow. Don't worry, the floor isn't slippery! After that, there's a soft black cushion room that feels like getting a massage as you walk through it. The following room was the Infinite Crystal Universe—a space filled with LED lights and mirrors, making you feel like you're lost in a universe of light. You can even control the lights with your phone, and the colors change continuously. It's the perfect spot for taking stunning photos! However, note that this room has 360-degree mirrors, so avoid wearing short skirts without inner shorts to prevent any "accidents." Next was the Koi Dance and Water Surface Drawing Room. Here, everyone walks barefoot in water that's nearly knee-deep. Light koi fish swim around and react to your movements. It's incredibly fun! Since the water is a bit deep, you should wear clothes that can get wet or short outfits like I did. The next room, which my kids loved the most, was the Light Ball Room. The space is filled with soft, glowing balls that change color and emit waves of light when touched. It's a magical and relaxing experience. Finally, we visited the Floating Flower Universe Room. This 360° space is filled with digital flowers floating and disappearing around you. The flowers change with the seasons and react to your movements, making you feel like you're in a dreamlike garden in the middle of the universe. You should definitely visit at least once because this is a full-body art experience that lets you truly immerse yourself.
