Sogetsu Ikebana Exhibition at Omotesando Spiral — Archives and Outlook for 2025 Archive: The Fusion of Ikebana and Space • The 101st Sogetsu Ikebana Exhibition (2019) was held at two venues: the Spiral Garden, a cultural complex in Omotesando, and the Sogetsu Kaikan. At Spiral Garden, an impressive installation of radially arranged bamboo reaching up to the ceiling was so large that visitors could walk through a bamboo tunnel.  • At the same time, a large-scale outdoor exhibit was displayed at the main entrance of the Sogetsu Kaikan, appealing to passersby about the power and potential of ikebana.  • Iemoto Akane Teshigahara aimed to "create a space" and "play with space," sublimating the bamboo's composition into a space that embraces people, creating new interactions between people and the artwork.  ⸻ 2025 Latest News • The 106th Sogetsu Ikebana Exhibition, "Flowers are the Heart," is scheduled to be held in the 8th floor hall of the Nihonbashi Takashimaya Shopping Center Main Building from October 17th to 19th, 2025.  • Additionally, the Sogetsu Kaikan will hold an exhibition titled "Flower Minuet" in the 2nd floor lounge from June 11th to 26th, 2025.  ⸻ "Experience the Challenge of Ikebana in Omotesando" The Sogetsu-style exhibition, featuring a bamboo tunnel adorning the atrium of Omotesando Spiral, was an experience that made it seem as if the plants themselves were dancing in the space. After leaving Spiral, a short walk away is the Sogetsu Kaikan, where modern and traditional styles blend together. "Flowers are the Heart," scheduled for October 2025 at Nihonbashi Takashimaya, and "Flower Minuet," an exhibition at the Sogetsu Kaikan, will be held in your own living room in June...
