Yayoi Kusama Museum, Matsumoto City Art Museum, mainly features artworks by Yayoi Kusama, an artist born in Matsumoto. Many know her by the nickname Polka Dot Queen. The outside of the museum at the entrance has a quirky flower shape, which is quite cool. The area around the museum is decorated with Kusama's signature polka dots, even on the vending machines and trash cans, making it very cute. Getting there from Matsumoto Station: - Take the Town Sneaker bus and get off at the "Matsumoto Bijutsukan" stop (Matsumoto City Art Museum) - Walking takes about 12-15 minutes 🕰️ Opening hours: 09:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Closed every Monday)
