[Kumano Shrine (Koigakubo/Tokyo)] Rebuilt many times and still standing today

Kumano Shrine (Nishi Koigakubo) in Kokubunji, Tokyo 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 A shrine that enshrined the Kumano Okami of Wakayama Prefecture. It is said that the shrine building was burned down in a war in 1333. It has been damaged many times since then, but has been rebuilt. The current shrine building was rebuilt in 1995. The shrine grounds are located at the top of a flight of stone steps, on a hill. On the left side of the approach is a chozuya (purification fountain) and a stone lantern with distinctive carvings. Around it, beautiful rape blossoms were blooming, as it was the season for this. On the right side of the approach is the shrine office. It seems that the opening date is posted on the website in advance. The quaint shrine building is flanked by cypress trees.
