[Tokyo/Kumano Shrine] Zojoji Temple's shrine for sealing off evil spirits

Kumano Shrine is located in Minato-ku, Tokyo. 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 A shrine located within the grounds of Zojoji Temple. In 1624, the 13th head priest of this temple, Shoyo-kakuyama, enshrined Kumano Gongen. It is said to have been built to seal off evil spirits! As it is Kumano, you can see the Yatagarasu on the chozuya (purification fountain) and on the Tamagaki fence. The many camphor trees in the grounds are very impressive.
