Huangya Pass Great Wall in Ji County, Tianjin

The Huangya Pass Great Wall is located 28 kilometers north of Ji County, Tianjin, amidst the towering mountains. Historically, there were eighteen garrison forts in Ji County, and Huangya Pass was one of them, as well as the most important strategic pass. It was initially built in the seventh year of the Tianbao era of the Northern Qi Dynasty (556 AD), and was redesigned and extensively repaired with bricks during the Ming Dynasty when the famous general Qi Jiguang was in charge of the Ji Town garrison. The Huangya Pass Great Wall is an important pass of the Great Wall in Ji Town during the Ming Dynasty, and it is also a fortified city within the territory.
