A 2 days 1 night visit to The Golden Rock of Myanmar

#favouriteitinerary Kyaik Htee Yoe, also known as The Golden Rock is located in Mon State of Myanmar. It has a popular myth behind its happening! This pagoda is popular due to its “floating” posture. A few years ago, they opened up a cable car that connects you to the top directly from the half-way point. There are hotels on top as well. We stayed at this hotel called Royal Hinthara which was very close to the Pagoda itself. There are many locally made items sold there. I love the jackets available there especially. If you’re a man, you can also buy golden leaflets and paste it onto the pagoda yourself for a unique experience. Do pay a visit if you’ve never heard haven’t!
