A French-style town on the Mekong River.

The Mekong River is the mother river of Laos, nurturing the Lao people! When traveling in southern Laos, you can witness the sunrise and sunset over the Mekong River every day. 🏡 This is a nice little town with many old French buildings and a night market. If you're heading south, it's a good place to stay for a night. The riverside is also a great place to stroll and have dinner in the evening. 💖 The French killed many people to occupy this place, and the buildings in the last two pictures commemorate this. 😰
