Phra That Tha Uthen

There is no clear history of the construction of Phra That Tha Uthen. The history is known only from the inscriptions on the walls of the chedi, which states that Phra Ajahn Sitat Yanasampanno was the leader who led the group of monks and laymen and laywomen to jointly construct it in 1910 and completed in 1912. It contains the relics of the Buddha that were brought from Yangon in 1997, as well as Buddha images and valuables. The lower gate of the southern chedi collapsed, so the Fine Arts Department restored it and completed it in 1998. They also added concrete beams inside to prevent the chedi from collapsing. In late 2014, Phra That Tha Uthen was restored again and completed in May 2015. >> Finding amulets from the Naga treasury, people are looking for them here (according to the elders in that area).
