Tengchong Heshun Ancient Town Aisiqi Memorial Hall

Tengchong, the geothermal town, the top border city, where the dialect is southwestern Mandarin. The weather is sunny and warm in winter and spring, and alternates between sunny and rainy in summer and autumn, with a cool and pleasant climate. Located at the southern end of the Hengduan Mountains, it borders Myanmar to the west. It has been inhabited since the Neolithic period and later became an important border town. Tengchong is 600 km from Kunming, 200 km from Myanmar, and 600 km from India. Tengchong has a 2,400-year-old Southwest Silk Road, also known as the Southern Silk Road, which is one of the oldest international trade routes in China. Since the Tang and Song dynasties, the Yunnan-Tibet Tea Horse Road, which runs through Southeast Asia, began to take shape. It is located at the intersection of the Central Plains Han culture, the Tibetan Plateau culture, and the Southeast Asian Southern Buddhist culture, and is a blend of Nanzhao culture, foreign culture, and the local ethnic minorities, forming the Tengyue culture. Heshun Ancient Town is one of the top ten charming towns in China, with the largest rural library in China, the Heshun Library, the hometown of a generation of philosophers, the Aisiqi Memorial Hall, the religious site of the Three Religions, the Yuanlong Pavilion, the century-old archway, the Banana Creek, and the large-scale Liu and Li Ancestral Halls. The Aisiqi Memorial Hall is located in Heshun Ancient Town and is a Chinese and Western-style courtyard. In the courtyard, the west building and the hall display the life and related texts of Aisiqi. You can see the books that Aisiqi read as a child, such as the Three Character Classic, the Analects, Laozi, Zhuangzi, and the Zizhi Tongjian. His important work is Popular Philosophy. This is the last stop of the self-driving tour from Xi'an, Tengchong. We stayed at the Tengchong Century Jinyuan Hotel and visited the Tengchong Rehai Hot Sea, Tengchong Volcanoes, Heshun Ancient Town twice, Simola Wa Village, and other places. We had a great time and will definitely come back to Tengchong if we have the chance.
