Uchisar Castle overlooking Cappadocia

Uchisar Castle is about a 10-minute bus ride from Göreme and a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. ✨ This fortress, carved out of a natural rock formation, is the highest point in Cappadocia. It's been in use since ancient Roman times, and the interior is said to contain a complex layout of dwellings and warehouses. Not only is it a great place to climb, but the view from below is also spectacular! I was able to take some great photos like this one from a cave opening near Uchisar Castle.
