Lavena Coastal Walk

#hellohalloween #naturalwonders #couplestrip This was our second time to Lavena Village. We stayed again in Lavena Lodge, which is funky but comfortable. Don't expect anything flashy but definitely expect kindness, laughter, connection with the villagers and lots of time with the kids on the beach! There's been lots of upgrading of the coastal track since we were there last, awesome improvements thank you. It's a stunning part of Fiji, a lovely beach right in front of the lodge and a great little bure to sit at overlooking the bay. We love being in Lavena, stayed 11 days this time and will go again for a month next time! If you want to stay a few nights re: food; you can order meals from reception for $10pp or cook your own in the sim ple kitchen. There's no fridge and depending on what you want to eat, you may want to go shopping in Somosomo (also the only ATM on the island of Taveuni) before you catch the bus out to Lavena or a taxi (expect $2/bus fare;$50-70 taxi fare). Lavena is at the end of the road, has a small shop with very limited supplies and very friendly people.
