🌕North Island "Moon Park"|Craters of the Moon Moon Walk Trail Experience🚶‍♂️

Craters of the Moon, a super-super-niche attraction in the North Island 📍Location: 10 minutes drive north of Taupō, on Karapiti Road Craters of the Moon Geothermal Walk; many Taiwanese websites call it 🎯"Moon Park" Moon Crater 🕒Opening information & tickets 🕤 Open all year round (except Christmas), last admission on the day 4:00 PM, weekdays 9:30–17:00 Tickets: Adults NZD10/Children (5–15 years old) NZD5/Under 5 years old free 🔥Walk into the "Moon Landscape" This is a 45-minute (main line) + 20-minute (up to the observation deck) boardwalk circular trail Steaming mud pits, •steam vents, •sulphur-colored sparse land Slates and plank roads protect the surface, and are also convenient for middle-aged and elderly tourists and strollers to enter. The steam surges and suddenly scatters to form a "foggy moon" feeling The viewing platform along the way can overlook the large steam vents, making you feel like you are on an alien planet 📸Photography Tips The light in the morning or evening is the most alien, and the steam is like floating on the moon The extension of the plank road is taken from the angle of steam filtering, which is very cinematic The viewing platform can take a bird's-eye view of the steam in the pits, which is magnificent and mysterious Remember to keep a distance and pay attention to safety when taking a close-up of the mud pit 🚗Transportation & Itinerary Suggestions 🛣 It is only a 10-minute drive from Taupo, and the road signs are clear It is recommended to combine the trail with Huka Falls or Taupō Lakeside for a half-day tour You can drive by yourself or sign up for a geothermal + waterfall one-day tour This place is not like the South Island lunar landform written about in tourism, but it is a real North Island version of the lunar trail. Walking into the "Moon Crater Trail", you will feel the heat and steam on the surface, like walking on another planet, which is a great experience for geothermal science. It is not a dream, nor a movie, but it can give you a shock of facing the earth's core. Ps: Remember to go up the mountain and look at the distance, it is really beautiful! I went to New Zealand's North Island. Cathedral Cove in Coromandel was amazing with its beautiful scenery. (The first photo shows a 30-minute hike to the coast, but the nature is so beautiful it cleanses the soul and the air is so fresh that the time flies! New Zealand's traffic rules are roughly the same as Japan's, so it's easy to drive even if you rent a car. However, each location is far away, so it took about 2-3 hours to get from one place to the other. There are mountain roads on the way to Coromandel, so I recommend driving during daylight hours. The third and fourth photos show Waitomo Caves, where the caves are mysterious and there are tours available, so I recommend it. The fifth photo shows Huka Falls, a beautiful waterfall. Wherever you go, the nature is so beautiful and magnificent that it helped to soothe your worries and make you forget all about your worries.)
