Bukhara was another highlight, with its labyrinthine old city filled with centuries-old structures that are still in use today. I found myself captivated by the Kalyan Minaret, a towering structure that once guided caravans along the Silk Road. Khiva, with its fortress-like city walls and well-preserved historical buildings, felt like a scene from a storybook. One of the most profound experiences was interacting with local artisans who still practice traditional crafts such as tile-making and wood carving.
