[Yaeyama] Head to Taketomi Island to experience the old Okinawa🌺

Taketomi Island is located in the Yaeyama Islands. You can get there by ferry from Ishigaki Island. On Taketomi Island, there is Kiboin Village, which has been designated as an Important Tangible Cultural Property by the national government. It is a place where you can experience the original landscape of Okinawa, with red-tiled houses, the guardian deity of the house, the shisa, stone walls, and colorful flowers. Within the village, where the scenery has been preserved, buffalo carts carrying tourists run. We slowly tour the village while listening to the guide's explanation. Along the way, we heard a sanshin accompaniment... The song was "Asatoya Yunta," and it is said to be based on the "Yunta" that has been passed down on Taketomi Island. After touring the village on the buffalo cart... we headed to our next destination on foot or by renting a bicycle. We headed to Nishi Pier and Kondoi Beach. It looks like a long way on the map, but it only took about 5 minutes to walk there (*^^*) If it's sunny, you can take a nice photo of the pier leading to the sea from the West Pier, and you can see the white sand and blue sea at Kondoi Beach️👀 The weather was unfortunate on the day we landed on Taketomi Island, and it rained on and off...
