#September2025 My trip to Takeo City in Saga Prefecture, Kyushu, left a lasting impression. Takeo Onsen is a must-see. With its historic gates and Japanese-style bathhouses, it evokes a traditional and healing atmosphere. Soaking in the springs is a truly relaxing experience, both physical and mental. Another pleasant surprise was the Takeo City Library, a fusion of bookstore and cafe, boasting a modern yet tranquil design perfect for leisurely browsing or a quiet moment of reading. Additionally, Takeo Shrine, with its magnificent sacred trees and tranquil atmosphere, exudes a sense of solemnity and peace. Local delicacies like Saga beef and hot spring tofu are also worth trying. Takeo City may not be large, but it offers a unique blend of culture, nature, and delicious cuisine, a place where travelers can slow down and experience the simple, warm human touch.
