King Taksin the Great Shrine

Somdet Phra Chao Taksin Maharat Shrine Located on Charoenwithi Thong Road, near the Tourism Authority of Thailand office, this shrine was originally located at Wat Doi Khao Kaew, opposite the city. Later, in 1947, Somdet Phra Chao Taksin Maharat Shrine is very important to Tak Province. It is also the first shrine built in Thailand. The original shrine was located at Wat Doi Khao Kaew, opposite the city of Tak. Later, in 1947, a new shrine was built, with the Fine Arts Department assigned to design it. The shrine itself was built as a pavilion in the form of a four-sided pavilion, along with a slightly larger-than-life statue of Somdet Phra Chao Taksin Maharat, in a sitting position with a sword resting on his lap. At the base of the statue is an inscription that reads: "Phra Chao Taksin of Thonburi He was born in 1734 and passed away in 1782, aged 48." At the same time, in front and on the side of the court, there are statues of war horses as decorations, as well as an area for paying homage to King Taksin the Great. In addition to the general public being able to pay homage to the statue of King Taksin the Great, nearby there is also a shady Zodiac Garden for relaxation.
