Taiyuan · Jinci Wang Qiong Temple & Sansheng Temple | Unassuming Xuanshan and Yingshan Roofs

Wang Qiong Temple: Built in the 12th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1533 AD), it is a small Xuanshan-roofed building with three bays. It houses a seated statue of Wang Qiong wearing a black gauze hat and bright red official robes. Sansheng Temple: Built in the 2nd year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1737 AD), it is a Yingshan-roofed building with three bays. Inside the hall are enshrined three deities: Shennong, Zhenjun, and the Black Dragon King. The Ming and Qing architecture in Jinci is not particularly eye-catching, but it still bears witness to centuries of history. Jinci is like a vast architectural museum, showcasing traditional Chinese buildings from different dynasties.
