Taiyuan Travel｜Itinerary Record - Journal

This May Day, I went to Datong, Linfen, and Yuncheng in Shanxi and was deeply impressed by the ancient architecture of Shanxi. This time, my schedule coincided with my friends', so we decided to have a spontaneous special forces-style trip～ Two days and one night in Taiyuan (mainly because the ✈️ was cheap). The itinerary is on the eighteenth picture, those interested 🍠 can refer to it. 💫Day 0 (Thursday, October 9)✨ Departure 🌟 Left work at 5 PM and headed to Wuxi Station, took the high-speed train to Nanjing South 🌟 Dinner at Wei Bo Small Restaurant, who would have thought a Sichuan restaurant would be sweet? Luckily, the taste was okay 🌟 Strolled around Confucius Temple to digest (a bit quiet after the National Day holiday… very few people) After the walk, went back to rest, thus ending the day🔚 💫Day 1 (Friday, October 10)✨ Taiyuan 🌟 Got up early and headed to the airport, flew from Nanjing Lukou at 7:15, arrived at Taiyuan Wusu at 9:10 🌟 First stop: Taiyuan Northern Qi Mural Museum, 10 AM public tour, lasted 45 minutes, the treasure of the museum: The Cavalry and Horse Riders Painting [The guide spoke super fast, a bit hard to keep up] 🌟 Lunch at Old Taiyuan Restaurant, the fried pork and millet cold cake were good😌 🌟 Second stop: Shanxi Merchants Museum 💰38 RMB/person, quite large inside, but we skipped the last part due to rain 🌟 Third stop: Shanxi Museum, 3:30 PM public tour, lasted 1.5 hours, stayed until closing, but due to time constraints, we missed the last part and went to browse the cultural and creative shop [The guide was very passionate, detailed, and easy to understand] 🌟 Dinner at Haigang Kitchen, the taste was average 🌟 Checked into the hotel to drop off luggage, went out again at 7:30 PM 🌟 Bought souvenirs at Sanjin Assistance Supermarket, shipped them home directly 📦～ After shopping, went back to rest, thus ending the first day🔚 💫Day 2 (Saturday, October 11)✨ Taiyuan 🌟 Got up at 7 AM, left at 8 AM, continued gogogo 🌟 Fourth stop: Jinci Museum 💰80 RMB/person, the highlight of the trip, the three wonders: Song Dynasty colored sculptures, Zhou cypress, and Nanlao spring [These ancient buildings must be seen in person, words cannot describe] 🌟 Lunch at Huahua Restaurant, the spicy dried tofu and glutinous rice cakes were delicious😋 🌟 Fifth stop: Taiyuan Ancient County Town, quite large, route: Jinyang Ancient City Archaeological Museum - Kuixing Tower - Confucian Temple - Inspection Office - Drum Tower - County Government Office [Originally planned to check in at the filming location of "Man Jiang Hong," but it was closed] 🌟 Sixth stop: Taiyuan Botanical Garden 💰50 RMB/person, tour order: East Gate - Tropical Rainforest Pavilion, Sand Plants Pavilion, Rare Flowers Pavilion - took sightseeing bus 💰10 RMB/person by the popular elevator - Bonsai Garden - Petting Zoo - Peacock Garden - popular elevator - exit East Gate [Too tired, skipped the Petting Zoo and Peacock Garden, left after lights on at 6:05 PM] 🌟 Dinner at Jinwei Restaurant, the copper hot pot was a big stew, Kaolao and Cat’s Ear noodles are actually types of noodles After dinner, headed to Taiyuan Airport to prepare to go home～ Thus ends the two-day, one-night trip to Taiyuan. The rain made the trip less than perfect, and we missed visiting Mengshan Giant Buddha because it was closed, but life always has regrets.
