Taitung Art Museum, an art and cultural space that integrates nature and aboriginal culture

#2月好地方2025 When you walk into downtown Taitung for an art tour, your first stop is the Taitung Art Museum next to the Taitung District Prosecutor's Office. The museum consists of two buildings with completely different styles. One is the mountain and sea exhibition hall, and the other is the large and small cultural and creative workshops. There is also a cafe for relaxation. The simple pavilion was designed by a Japanese team, emphasizing integration with the natural ecology and incorporating aboriginal elements. The Museum of Eastern Art often holds exhibitions related to local culture. The vibrant artworks, set against a tranquil atmosphere, tell stories even more vividly. The art gallery is free to visit, but the exhibition rooms are small and mostly contain exhibitions related to Aboriginal culture. There are large green lawns and art installations outdoors, as well as shady trees, which are perfect for cooling off under the trees.
