Oldest Coffee Mill in Malaysia

#ipohfood Antong Coffee Mill, established in 1933 in Taiping, Perak, is Malaysia’s oldest coffee mill. Founded by Tiah Ee Mooi, the mill continues to roast beans over wood fires, blending them with sugar and margarine to produce its signature bold, caramel-rich coffee. Visitors can explore the historic Changchun Garden villa, once home to Chen Cuifen, companion of Chinese revolutionary Sun Yat-sen, and view artifacts related to both coffee-making and history. The mill offers free guided tours, allowing guests to witness traditional coffee production methods. Antong’s products, including durian white coffee, are available for purchase on-site and are exported internationally.
