#hiddengems Taiping has the many very ‘firsts’ of Malaysia, The All Saints Church (1886, first Anglican church) and Taiping Clock Tower (1890, first clock tower) are 2 of the hidden gems of Taiping. I really love these 2 beautiful historical sites, a must-visit for history, architecture and photography aficionados. The All Saints Church(Gereja All Saints) is a unique wooden church with Gothic architecture design in Taiping, Perak. Founded in 1886 and consecrated in 1887, it is the oldest Anglican church in Malaysia. The Taiping Clock Tower would have been Taiping’s main square. It was popularly known as The Fort among locals. It was later rebuilt in 1891 as a fortified stone building.
