Lingxiao Hall at Zhishan Temple - A Sacred Place for Blessings, Hiking, and Scenic Views.

Lingxiao Hall (also known as Lingxiao Palace) is the main hall of the Taoist Heavenly Palace, dedicated to the Jade Emperor. Many temples are also named after it. It is said that the plaque of 'Lingxiao Hall' was inscribed by Chiang Kai-shek during his visit to Qingxu Temple in Guanziling in 1950. Due to its popularity, it was mistakenly believed by devotees to be the official hall of the Jade Emperor, and this belief gradually spread. The Lingxiao Hall at Zhishan Temple is the highest of the four halls, enshrining various deities and ancestors. Inside the hall, there is a Tai Sui Hall with sixty Tai Sui gods in solemn and majestic postures. Devotees can light Tai Sui lamps, Bright lamps, and Wealth lamps to pray for blessings. This place is easily accessible, either by taking the Maokong Gondola or driving to the back mountain parking lot. On clear days, the air is fresh, and the view is expansive, making it not only suitable for worship but also for hiking and photography!
