Taipei - A time-honored five-star hotel with a first-class location: Sheraton Taipei Hotel

#TaipeiSheraton Hotel, a long-established five-star hotel under the Marriott Group, picked up the super cost-effective plan launched by #北喜30 when the epidemic began to ease two years ago: stay for 30 hours + free use of the executive VIP lounge + buy one get one free breakfast, only $3000+15%! It was my birthday that day, so I gave her two cakes from #thedeli bakery downstairs. It’s really nice to stay in a hotel for 30 hours on a rainy day! Although Beixi has a sense of age, fortunately it was renovated in 2018, and its overall elegance and cleanliness are well maintained. The hall has a high ceiling atrium with Chinese-style mythical animal totems painted on the walls, attempting to blend the elegance of the East with the neat decorative art of the West. A 30-hour stay means check-in at 9am and check-out at 3pm the next day, which is really long! We stayed in a deluxe twin room which was about 10 pings in size. The peaceful warm white color scheme added a classical and soft atmosphere. The furnishings were simple and neat. The bed was really comfortable and I had a good sleep. The experience in the executive lounge is a bit ordinary. There are few things during the afternoon tea time, and even during the evening time, there are only a few more ordinary dishes. Only the drinks are unlimited. And the environment is good for working on a laptop? (I recommend the Executive Lounge at Sheraton Sydney, which has oysters and white wine!) However, the Sheraton's geographical location is impeccable. It is close to the Taipei Railway Station and the MRT, and next to it are Buhang Soy Milk and Qiaozhiwei Dumplings.
