Speaking of coffee breaks in Ximending, Taipei!

After strolling around Ximending, where young Taiwanese people gather, why not take a coffee break? Nanmei Coffee is what's known in Japan as a "junkissa" (pure coffee shop) and prides itself on its in-house roasting. The coffee shop next door is also famous and always has a line, but this place is frequented by a much older clientele of ladies and older men. I ordered a sandwich, which had a soft-boiled yolk and a touch of Taiwanese mayonnaise, making it slightly sweet. I chose the house blend coffee, which had a strong, robust flavor and was delicious.
