Budapest surrounding Hungarian town Szentendre Day 3

I have basically visited all the main attractions in Budapest in two days. On the third day, we rented a car and started a self-driving tour around the area. First stop - Szentendre, Budapest Szentendre is located on the Danube River, about 30 kilometers north of Budapest, in the hilly area of ​​the Danube Bay. This is the filming location of Jolin Tsai's MV "Madrid Wonderful". I specially looked up the MV and watched it🤭 It takes about 40 minutes to drive there. Navigation: Szentendre 🅿️There is a free parking lot nearby. The town has a long history, dating back to the Stone Age. It has been influenced by many ethnic cultures such as Rome, Celtic, and Serbia. The Mediterranean architectural style brought by Serbian immigrants in the 17th century has become its characteristic. Today, it is a famous art town and summer resort in Hungary. The town retains the colorful houses in Mediterranean style. The roof skylights are uniquely designed, shaped like "eyes" with different expressions (such as "wide-open eyes" and "smiling"), which is very cute! The ancient church at the highest point and the double crosses in the central square (symbolizing wealth and luck) are the landmarks here. Standing at the highest point and overlooking the houses with red roofs, it’s very Hungarian! There are few tourists in the small town in winter, and it is windy and cold by the Danube River. But I still saw many foreigners sitting by the cold river with pizza for lunch. I can’t imagine how pleasant it would be in the summer, holding a glass of beer, sitting by the river, enjoying the cool breeze, looking at the slowly flowing Danube, and chatting with friends around me! The town is not big and it only takes about an hour to walk around it. Of course, we were quite casual and didn’t go out of our way to find that check-in spot. We just walked around casually. We tried a local specialty dessert - Kürtőskalács, a spiral bread sprinkled with icing sugar. Baked on site, the bread is crispy and filled with sweet cream, chocolate sauce and bananas.
