Suzhou | Came for the hot springs

As the car drove into the hotel courtyard, a security guard in the distance saluted. You will first pass a hot spring center, and you can tell from the entrance that this is a hot spring-themed hotel. The hotel lobby is quite spacious and has a strong New Year atmosphere, but the layout is a bit messy, or rather down-to-earth. There weren't many guests on New Year's Day, so check-in was smooth. The staff greeted me with a smile, and they looked young, more like interns. But they were all beautiful and pleasing to the eye. The bellboy saw that I had a luggage cart and offered to help with my luggage. The room is not particularly large, with a living room and a bedroom, and a walk-in closet connected to the bathroom. The room has a large terrace with a hot spring pool, a sofa, and a rocking chair with a soft white cushion that makes you want to snuggle in. From the terrace, you can see the countryside and water towns nearby, and Lake Tai in the distance. The hot spring pool is quite deep, and although it is on the balcony, you don't have to worry about being exposed when soaking in the hot spring. The hotel provides several bath towels, which are not very new, but they are white and dry, with a strong milky fragrance. The hot spring pool is boiling hot, and the mineral particles scattered around the pool indicate that this is indeed geothermal water. The water ladle and herbal pack are also very thoughtful. For dinner that day, I followed the hotel's recommendation and tried the buffet. The Peking duck was placed in a prominent position in the restaurant, with shiny duck skin piled high on top. The pancakes, scallions, and sauce were all of high quality, and this dish felt like the hotel's signature dish.
