Autumn in Suzhou: The stunning red maples of Tianping Mountain

Autumn is already deep in Suzhou, and winter is just around the corner. After settling down in Suzhou, I couldn't wait to visit Tianping Mountain to see the maples and catch the last of the autumn colors. On Friday morning, the city was shrouded in fog, which gradually cleared by noon. After lunch, my husband and I headed straight to Tianping Mountain. We took Metro Line 1 to the terminal station, Mudu, and walked 2 km to the mountain. Compared to the end of October last year, now is the best time to see the maples on Tianping Mountain. The colorful leaves are stunningly beautiful. I picked up a few fallen leaves to take home. According to the staff, the leaves will fall in about a week. Come to Tianping Mountain soon, or you'll miss this year's maple feast.
