Wat Mahathat, Sukhot

Wat Mahathat, Sukhothai Province, is located in Mueang Kao Subdistrict, Sukhothai Province. It is an ancient temple that is beautiful and quite complete. It is currently well preserved and maintained. This temple was built during the reign of King Sri Inrat, the first king of Sukhothai. In front of the temple, you can clearly see the principal Buddha image and the principal pagoda of the temple. Next, you will see the chapel enshrining a standing Buddha image, 18 cubits high, named Phra Attharot.
