Stuttgart: Where City and Car Harmoniously Coexist 🇩🇪🚗

#summervacay After all these years in Germany, I finally made my first trip to Stuttgart, and I was genuinely surprised to find it's now one of my favorite German cities! It's not what I'd call a "tourist-filter" kind of city. There aren't really any super famous landmarks, but it's unexpectedly comfortable, layered, and has this great sense of depth. The whole city is built into the hills, and I could spot vineyards on the slopes from a distance. There's a beautiful, harmonious blend here, somewhere between nature and industry. For any mechanical enthusiast, the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche Museums are absolutely fantastic. From history to design, and from industrial aesthetics to human-centric displays, I found constant surprises. The city center feels clean and modern. It doesn't have that overly "classical European" facade, but rather it's like Germany's version of a "quiet CBD." It's not as traditional as Munich, nor as avant-garde as Berlin, but it's distinctly "German"—restrained, understated, and incredibly appealing the more you look. It truly feels like a place to settle in and slowly appreciate. If you also appreciate the spatial feel of a city built on hills, a rational architectural style, a strong car culture, and a clean, efficient urban rhythm, then I think you'll really love Stuttgart too.
