Exploring Split: A Perfect Blend of History and Coastal Beauty

#europetrip After leaving the stunning Plitvice National Park, I hopped on a FlixBus for a scenic journey down to Split, and it was totally worth it! The bus ride took about 4 hours, with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the beautiful Croatian landscape as we headed towards the coast. Split is a vibrant city that offers a perfect mix of history, culture, and stunning coastal views. As soon as I arrived, I made my way to Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site that forms the heart of the old town. The palace is incredibly well-preserved, with its ancient walls now home to bustling shops, cafés, and restaurants. Walking through the narrow streets within the palace felt like traveling back in time, with Roman architecture blending seamlessly into the lively atmosphere of modern-day Split. The Riva promenade along the waterfront is another highlight, perfect for a leisurely stroll with views of the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea. I also took a moment to relax by the beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying the peaceful vibe of the coastal city. Split is a fantastic destination that combines rich history with a laid-back, Mediterranean lifestyle. Whether you're into exploring ancient ruins or simply enjoying the vibrant seaside atmosphere, Split offers something for every traveler. Definitely a place I’d love to return to!
