Lishui Songyang Jiuzhe Homestay Zhuanghe Village, Siduxiang, Songyang County Jiuzhe Homestay is located in Zhuanghe Village, Siduxiang, Songyang County, Lishui City, nestled in Songyang County, which is praised by "China National Geography" as "the last secret realm of Jiangnan." It is about a 1.5-hour drive from Lishui Station, winding up the mountain where the mist thickens until a cluster of buildings with yellow clay walls and black-gray tiles comes into view—that is Jiuzhe. Situated nearly 1000 meters above sea level, it is shrouded in mist year-round, as if in a fairyland. The overall design of Jiuzhe blends the traditional rammed earth house style of Songyang with the Zen aesthetics of Kyoto, Japan. The buildings are constructed along the mountain, scattered among several houses at different elevations. Walking from one building to another requires strolling along tea field paths. Yellow clay walls, black-gray tiles, stone steps, old wooden beams... every detail preserves rural memories while infusing modern design comfort. The extensive use of oak wood emits a unique woody fragrance that instantly soothes the mind. The homestay has 8 rooms, all open-plan suites, spacious and each with a distinct style. Every room is equipped with a health-focused private hot spring soaking pool, underfloor heating, and central air conditioning to ensure comfort throughout the seasons. The intelligent integrated control system, remote-controlled curtains, smart mattresses, and bathroom facilities are discreetly integrated into the minimalist design, creating an immersive experience where technology and nature coexist. Some room types also feature private courtyards for relaxing with tea and quietly watching the stars and moon. Jiuzhe’s restaurant is located at the top of a bamboo forest, where the mountain breeze gently blows and the bamboo sea sways, making dining feel like being among the clouds. Ingredients are mostly sourced locally: bamboo shoots harvested early in the morning, free-range native chickens, vegetables irrigated by mountain springs... The chef uses traditional cooking methods from southwestern Zhejiang, preserving original flavors while adding creativity. Breakfast includes handmade glutinous rice cakes, freshly ground soy milk, handmade preserved vegetable pancakes, and Songyang high mountain tea, awakening the mountain morning.
