Malvasia is a type of grape, strong in flavor and with a deep orange brown color. It dates back to the Roman times, when already this location was a popular spot for the growth of grapes. Through centuries, the malvasia has been produced in Sitges and the areas nearby this town. However, by the 20th century the production of this type of wine was in steep decline. The Malvasia Center in Sitges is the only place that still grows, harvests and produces the type of grape used to make malvasia. A visit to its museum is a unique experience to understand the rich heritage of this land and the dedication of the team behind its preservation. And do not leave without trying their wines, they have a varied selection that includes sweet wine, dry wine and also various white wines.
